- According to section 18 of the Act, the duration of the permit will be determined on the following basis -
(a) Nature of Project,
(b) Cost of the project,
(c) Fees to be collected by the permittee while conducting the project,
(d) Taxes, royalties or other amounts payable by the permit holder to the Government of Nepal,
(e) the reasonable profit that the permit holder can get from the operation of the project,
(f) The total period required to construct the project and the period during which the permit holder can operate the project by collecting fees,
(g) Financial resources of the project,
(h) Whether or not the Nepal government has jointly invested in the project,
(i) Other matters.
